Due to the great interest provoked by the screening of Timofey Kulyabin’s performance “Onegin”, an exclusive screening is scheduled on June 16 at 7 p.m. at the Cinema House. You can book your ticket here.

Timofey Kulyabin is undoubtedly among today’s most talented and successful Russian directors of the new generation who has won recognition all over Europe. “Onegin” is one of his most popular performances in recent years. The festival audience has the opportunity to see it filmed during a live performance before the audience.

Timofey Kulyabin’s “Onegin” carries Pushkin’s romantic novel in verse into today’s world, immersed in the inner thoughts, hopes, despairs, passions and disappointments stirred by the 4 central characters: Onegin, Tatiana, Olga and Lensky. Instead of a classic “Encyclopaedia of Russian life” the performance shows a quiet love story, managing to convey the spirit of the great poet and proving that his work still resonates with the 21st century reality. The performance has won two statuettes of the prestigious Golden Mask Award in Russia.
