THEATRE TURNED TOWARDS ITSELF
It is hardly to believe that there are theatre makers who wish or could ignore the questions about the destiny of theatre and the reasons for it to be alive today, in the multimedia age… Bulgarian theatre also takes part in the process of pursuing of new aesthetics, but something could be added to this, which, like in the other East European contexts, makes its experience more different, more intense… The aim of the selection with this motto is to present the Bulgarian theatre makers’ quest in this direction during the last two seasons. Or what kind of theatre do we need today, six years before the end of XX century?
