“Flyway” is an unusual project that brings together arts and ecology. It investigates the enchanting nature of migratory birds and the annual epic, threatened journeys they make across a shifting globe in search of rest, food and a nest. The project is specially adapted for the city of Varna and invites the audience to a walk that follows a moment of the flyway of the birds. Wearing headphones and binoculars audiences are going to be enveloped in a lush soundscape and led on an exciting birdwatching tour through urban spaces. Along the path they will encounter several screens on which videos especially created by Elizabeth Dunn will be projected that give glimpses of life of birds in city environments. “Flyway” is a nonconventional performance that makes us think of the ways we observe and experience the nature that surrounds us.
