Her father Manuel Garcia is the favorite tenor of Rossini and her sister Maria Malibran – one of the brightest opera stars of her time. The fate of Pauline Viardot met her with great personalities. Her sweet-heart love is her piano teacher Franz Liszt and the great but complexed and impossible – writer Ivan Turgenev. Close friend is George Sand, Chopin, Schumann; she is a muse of Mayerber, Saint-Saens, Brahms, Massenet, Gounod a.o. She does not only inspires many, but also discovers talented people, supports them, believes in them. She devoted her life to music, traveling, teaching, composing. The aim of the show is not to tell comprehensive and linear her life, but rather to acquaint viewers with Pauline Viardot.
To look through different spies of her interesting life. The script is composed of documentary texts – letters to and from her, memories of her relatives and contemporaries, newspaper articles and reviews, alternating with songs by her as a composer and works by Chopin, Liszt and Rossini. The material is arranged associative, intuitive, yet with reason. Ludmil Angelov and Ina Kancheva are not participating only as musicians, but together with actress Elena Atanassova are involved in creating theatrical pictures with ease, irony and a little time and irresponsibility in order to interpret the characters.
