An interactive performance inspired by absurdist author Samuel Beckett’s last play “Happy Days” (1960). Mariy Rosen’s team replaces the original text of the play with texts created by the audience members who have to fill in in advance a specially prepared questionnaire. The performance is built up as a creative, charming and engaging theatrical installation. It is centred around the actress Ani Valchanova who turns Beckett’s Winnie into a character that gives voice to each spectator’s personal answers and perceptions about the author’s major themes: how time flows, how objects live, how we understand words, how we feel, how we remember…
With English surtitles on 6th June.
In order to attend the performance, you have to fill in in advance a special questionnaire. For that purpose, please contact us at office@viafest.org by 30th May.
The performance is supported by Culture Programme 2017 of Sofia Municipality.
