The play is in the repertoire of the University Theatre “Theatre of the Slug” at the New Bulgarian University. “The House of Bernarda Alba” has been created as a remake of the production that had been played successfully for more than 5 seasons at the Chamber Stage of the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov”. The idea for this particular production is to continue the life of Bernarda Alba in the remarkable interpretation by Tsvetana Maneva – one of the emblematic actresses of contemporary Bulgarian theatre who is also a professor at the theatrical department of the University. The play is a basic repertoire title for the campaign “Find the Theatre – ACCESS POSSIBLE for people with different abilities”. It aims to focus the social attention towards providing access to theatre for people with disabilities.
