Dancer and choreographer Ayrin Ersöz is born in Bulgaria, but has to move to Turkey in 1989. In her life she is forced to change her name five times. All incidents leading to the name changes; ethnic assimilation, forced migration, falling in love which ends in marriage, the fear of choreographing a new dance piece under a name that does not really still belong to her are the main atrophic moments in the life of the artist. Remembrance
of these atrophic moments arises questions not only about changing identities and the power of naming that belongs to authority, but also gender, class, body and dance itself.
