The 28th edition of Varna Summer International Theatre Festival was supposed to open on June 1st on the stage of Varna Drama Theater and in the course of ten days to present to the audiences the best of the current Bulgarian theatre season together with distinguished international productions and some special events. However, the global outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19 and the measures related to the attempts for its restriction prevent us to carry out the event as planned.
We, from Via Fest Foundation, are following the developments of the situation and we hope to be able to share with you our future plans when possible.

We remain with the belief that after this global challenge which we are facing now, theatre will continue to be important for the public and will still attract audiences with the power of the shared experience, with the comfort and the ideas that make us stronger.
