THEATRE OF  TOLERANCE

This is the last year of a tragic century – a century of difference, of radical oppositions, of the compulsory choice between “either – or”. At its end this century is trying to replace the principle of war, which it maintained, with that of tolerance. That is why the intention of “Varna Summer”’99 is to find and bring together the features of the Bulgarian theatre of tolerance. The selection of the main programme outlines among the waves of performances those which accept and comprise the variety of philosophical, aesthetic, stylistic, personal, political and other diversities.
