COASTS AND HORIZONS     

The ambition of the selection is to try to point out the best performances that have been produced in Bulgaria since February 1995… “Coasts and Horizons” – the festival’s motto, is naturally influenced by costal city’s sea… I don’t think of it as a sign of opposition. My taste is relatively conservative and this motto corresponds to my understanding of a great performance as one which is artistically sophisticated, resting on the coast of significant theatre tradition, but at the same time containing the “horizons” of the creative impulse, of quests in the field of theatre.
