CAPTURED SILHOUETTES

In the best cases the meeting of the audience and the theatre should be defied as an sudden encounter. It is not the theatre that welcomes the audience with conveniently tried devices and forms but precisely to encounter out of a sudden its increasingly broader expectations. In order to get to that, one should get to the possible limit of risk: there is always some imminent danger here, of course, for they might pass each other. The theatre performances having made their way into my selection are the ones which, in my opinion, do achieve that sudden encounter with the audience: each of them in its own way and in its own key, in the opening of the space of the unexpected.
