A performance about the extraordinary life of an extraordinary woman. Alma Mahler – daughter of a painter, a composer, a woman of vivid sensitivity and intellect – remains in cultural history not only through her own work, but also as a source of inspiration for some of the most significant artists of her time. Known as the “Muse of Vienna,” her life intersects with names such as Gustav Mahler, Gustav Klimt, Walter Gropius, Oskar Kokoschka, and Franz Werfel.
The production by director Deyan Proykovski, based on the text by Sasho Dimoski, traces retrospective fragments of Alma’s life, constructing not merely a biographical portrait, but a dramatic narrative about the woman as a muse — and the cost of her presence beside “great men.”
Between love and talent, between inspiration and her own creative voice, between the role of a faithful shadow and the desire to stand in her own light, the performance raises the question: what does it mean to be a gifted woman in a world more inclined to remember you as inspiration rather than as a creator?
The performance is not recommended for audiences under 16 years of age.
