Since its inception Theatre Laboratory “Sfumato” has established itself as a territory for theatre research. Its directors Margarita Mladenova and Ivan Dobchev have been teaching at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts for many years and they have regularly held international educational ateliers. The atelier MY SELF brings together performing arts students from USA and Bulgaria. Its working subjects are “I remember therefore I am” and “Where do you come from, man”. Its route includes New York, Sofia, Varna and Sibiu. The open atelier invites the spectators to witness a phase from the 3-days working process at the festival.
