The Fire and Shadow Theatre “Fireter” creates striking street performances that make their encounters with audiences unforgettable. For the opening of the Varna Summer International Theatre Festival, they present a new daytime street parade and an evening fire show, Dragonius.

Dragonius transports us to a distant future where nothing on Earth is the same, and to survive, humans have become half-human, half-machine. Civilization as we know it no longer exists, and these human-machines survive by using remnants of a long-lost world. In an attempt to adapt themselves to the new reality, they create whimsical machines and devices to navigate space and time. Can these half-machine humans be transformed and reconnected with their human essence when they encounter true humans? We’ll find out if we journey with them…
