The project “Jazz and Poetry” presents some of the most beautiful jazz melodies with original texts in Bulgarian. Classics such as “Desafinado”, “Waters of March”, “You must believe in spring” acquire a new and even richer meaning due to the poetic presence of Maria Doneva, who writes the lyrics especially for them. The vocal parts of Marina Gospodinova and the impeccable instrumental performances of Antoni Donchev – piano and Ventsislav Blagoev – trumpet, turn words and music into one inseparable alloy.

“Jazz and Poetry” has existed for 13 years, during which it established its original concept and virtuoso live and recorded performances.

The idea of ​​the project is to present jazz standards to the audience, but with originals lyrics in Bulgarian.
