MERRY-GO-ROUND is a special adaptation for the outdoor space of the garden of the Art Gallery. The centre of the performance is a children’s merry-go-round and the dramatic material uses interviews made by the creative team with immigrants in Bulgaria and Germany. The performance interprets the problem of migration and the circumstances forcing people to leave their homes. The characters have hopes and ideas about their lives but again and again political affairs thwart their realization. The performance communicates with the perplexed history of two member states of the European Union and the fate of their citizens.
