Following the remarkable success of Silk, director Diana Dobreva and playwright Alexander Sekulov reunite to bring another captivating novel by renowned Italian writer Alessandro Baricco to theatrical life.

Without Blood draws into a world marked by cruelty and war, yet touched by a quiet, melancholic beauty. The story of a woman whose fate is shaped by violence becomes a universal parable about human nature and the mechanisms of memory. “Is revenge ever truly over, or is it an endless cycle in which we are doomed to revolve?” This profound question from the novel is translated into the language of theatre. In Diana Dobreva’s spectacular production, epic and poetic elements, speech and music, gesture and dance merge into an explosive unity.

This production is the result of an international collaboration between Plovdiv Drama Theatre and the Drama Theatre of Veles, North Macedonia, marking the final stage of the two-year project Manifest.
