In the unbearable vanity of being and of the arts brought to life by it technology interferes more and more often. It has been even claimed that it creates new aesthetic dimensions. But theatre, which uses technology as helping device, does not even for a moment allow to be replaced by it, because it is the live performance where the theatre’s shining armour is being forged. The one clad in that armour is the actor… In our times when each theatrical truth is doubted, the actor still remains intact on place and in significance. That is why I choose the actor to be the centre of my selection.
